About sofatutor
Sofatutor is a company that had a successful product for a long time. When I joined sofatutor had just launched their new product sofatutor KIDS which aimed at a younger audience than their main platform.
My role at sofatutor
My main responsibilty was designing new games and features with the goal to increase the retention of our players. I aligned with all involved departments to ensure a smooth production of new features.
During my time I established documentation and communication workflows for the design department of sofatutor KIDS.
It was part of my responsibilities to lead discovery workshops for new features. In a creative inter-department exchange we discussed our current challenges and how we could solve them, while trying to eliminate potential risks as early as possible. Through the different departments' perspectives it was a great catalyst for finding design solutions as a team.
Data oriented design
Through the implementation of analytics tools and A/B tests we were able to enhance our design process further. It was part of my daily routine to check our data for irregular player behaviors. Through that we noticed successful or unsuccesful features early and were able to use those learnings to iterate quickly.
We also conducted A/B tests to ensure we were spending our time on the right features before final implementations. This step improved our player retention significantly and enabled me to learn a lot about our target audience.
