About Edurino
Edurino is an EdTech company with a target audience of 4-8 year olds. The product consists of a free to download app, a physical figurine for each of the episodes and a stylus. Each figurine unlocks a different episode and each episode represents a specific learning topic.
In this minigame kids have to find out the right sequence of items so that the robot Bonki can reach the other side of the screen
Here kids can plant their own plants and care for them over a longer period of time.
My role
During my time at Edurino I worked on 4 episodes. Of those I completely owned the episodes "Coding & Logical Thinking" and "Our Nature".
As I was the sole Game Designer at the start, my main focus was to create a play system that could be used for a long time. The structure of an Episode is the same whether you are playing the first or newest Episode which ensured that our young players could play as frictionless as possible.
Eventually switched from the episode production towards a UX centric role focusing on the interaction between the kids and their parents.
My responsibilities lied on conducting usability tests, evaluating analytics, defining long-term goals and creating further value for kids and parents alike.
Through clever use of pulleys kids have to ensure that the Little Thinkers can safely cross the gap!
